Industrial-Grade Thermal Lamination Film with Thermal Stability and Chemical Resistance for Premium Applications

A 27 µm (1.06 mil) co-extruded, bi-axially-oriented polyester/EVA thermal film that melts at 85 °C (185 °F) and cross-links on cooling to form a covalent grip with paper, board, PVC, PET, PP, PE and most digital fuser oils. The result is a mono-layer lamination that behaves like a multi-layer liquid UV coat--without the VOCs, dust, curing lamps or 24-hr wait.

• 12 µm optical-grade PET, biaxially stretched for 28 kpsi tensile and 6H pencil hardness
• Infused with 3% nano-alumina + 1% polysiloxane for >9 N scratch load (ASTM D7027-05) and 104° water contact angle
• UV-absorber package (benzotriazole + triazine) blocks 99% of 280-380 nm rays

• 0.5 µm hydroxyl-terminated polyester wetting layer promotes 5 N/in (900 g/in) bond to ink
• Prevents silvering on heavy-coverage digital prints

• 15 µm random-ethylene copolymer with 28% VA content for low melt viscosity (3,500 cP at 90°C)
• 0.3% maleic-anhydride graft adds polar sites that bite into HP Indigo ElectroInk, dry-toner, inkjet pigment and offset varnish
• Antioxidant package prevents gelling after 72 h at 220°C

• Speed: 10-20 m/min (33-65 ft/min) at 90-105°C roll temp; 5 m/min for pouch machines
